An entry-level 3D coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is now available as part of a special promotion aimed at small and medium sized businesses.
Hexagon Metrology's DEA Pioneer 5.6.4 model provides all the features necessary for performing a wide range of inspection tasks quickly, easily and accurately.
Built in the same factory as the class-leading DEA Global range of CMMs, the Pioneer shares many of the same patented features and proven design principles. For example, the machine incorporates Hexagons
patented Tricision lightweight bridge, which has a wider bearing separation and
lower centre of gravity than a conventional bridge - thus affording high speeds, fast acceleration and increased throughput.
The Pioneers one-piece granite worktable features a precision-machined dovetail for better rigidity which in turn allows for higher accuracy, repeatability and robustness.
The Pioneer machines also benefit from Hexagon's easy to use yet immensely powerful PC-DMIS software - the worlds largest metrology software.
Hexagons promotion, which runs until the end of December, offers a full CNC system starting from £29,995. As well as the CMM, the deal includes a motorized Tesastar probe, PC-DMIS Pro software, styli kit, PC, monitor and table plus a years warranty, delivery and installation.
This Pioneer model uses technology from other systems in the DEA range, meaning it aims high above entry level standards. commented sales and marketing director Brett Green.
